i had a wonderful birthday. :D everyone remembered!! really super duper happy!!
spent it at the jap school, with sec 1-3, THEY'RE THE BEST. everyone there is so sweet. they would offer us all their stuff to try out, like for calligraphy lesson, they lent us their entire calligraphy set and cheered us on when we wrote our names. mine looked weird, but they were super nice, going "sugoi! sugoi!" i know it isn't that good. they're calligraphy skills are SUPER AWESOME. looks exactly like the one printed on the book. really really good.
first day, we learnt JUDO, super awesome. and hahaha!! we had cleaning block. very fun. clean the floor with eraser, damn weird but super funny. :) and then they would sweep up the eraser dust and after that, four of them, armed with their wet cloths, would start in squat postion at one end of the class and run!! (in squat position, while wiping the floor) super cool! think they help out with housework at home or something, cause they're super fast.
second day, was also awesome. learnt how to cook okonomiyaki and stuff. :) and they had swimming, we um.. watched. we didn't watch them la. we watched the clock. :) and timed them. they're really fast. :) and we sat outside while chatting with the english swimming teacher. no wait, maybe he's american. steve sensei. lol. then we had english lesson! the only lesson i actually understood, besides swimming lesson. they had this super fun game thing. like the teacher would call a random register number, and the entire row would stand up. then the teacher would ask ask ask, and the last person standing would have his or her row in the opposite direction to stand up. lol! super awesome.
last day, gave them the huge card i made for them, (did it till 2 okay) and when i showed it to them, everyone went "ohhhhhhhhhhhh" haha! super funny. and then we had lessons, math, linear graphs. :) the sensei's really good at english. then we played another game! there are like three cards with stuff written on them, y=1/3 x, y=-x and y=2x. so the sensei would shout something, like y=2 when x=1, then we would have to slam our hand on whichever card we think is right. :) super fun.
then we had social studies, super funny! tanaka sensei was trying to speak in english again. lol! and he was teaching the stoneage and everything. so he wanted to say, "10000 years ago" but he kept saying it wrong, he kept saying, "ten thousand ago" and we were like, "huh?" cause we didn't know what he was teaching yet. then everyone started correcting him, super funny!! then there was the tea ceremony, the sensei could mix the tea SUPER FAST. like ultra fast. and only her wrist would move, but it would move ultra fast. so fast, you wouldn't be able to catch it, not exaggerating, it's really really fast. and haha! i found the significance of the cup turning thing, it's just to face the prettiest part of the cup to the person in front of you. lol!! super funny.
yah. then the closing ceremony came. watched this awesome video. had lots of pictures the sneakily took of us. lol! had quite a couple of me. there was also this video of me losing in the hei bai pei game. lol! super awesome. and then there was the giving out certificates ceremony. super cool. you'll face the principals of moelc and the jap school when you receive the certificates, meaning, your butt will face the audience, and from the audience point of view, it really looked like one of those registration of marriage thing. just that the hosts are of the same gender as the person hosted, so it kinda looked like... heh, a homosexual marriage. hehe. ANYWAY, the japanese school certificate (the one i got) looked SO MUCH BETTER than the moelc certificate(the one my host got). the moelc one looked like something you'd get after graduating from computer class.
so after the ceremony, we played this quiz game thing. it's something like, there'll be this line in the middle of the hall, and one side is X and the other side is O, then there'll be a question on the screen, and if you think it's true, you walk to the O, if you think it's false, walk to the X. yah. then after a few seconds, the line would be raised and the answer would be shown. then if you're wrong, then you're OUT and you head to the side of the hall, and stone there. ya.. i sat there right after the second question. heh. lol!
then we had refreshments, yup! but i only took punch. then started filling up the survey thing. lol. then i started feeling sad cause i didn't get to take a picture with my awesome class. and then i found tamaka!! (my host) and i told her. then she was like, "oh! can! can!" then we chionged up. and we took PICTURES. :) YAY!! and everyone did this *wish* thing. lol! it's super funny. EVERYONE did it. as in, even the sensei. lol!! had super lot of fun. oh yah. gotta send them the pictures soon. :) lol!! had an awesome time there.
right after i came back from the immersion, suddenly piled with stuff again. at least i had fun there. lol. okay. gotta get to work now..
